
M-Kiln™
The M-Kiln™ was conceived to be as easy to use as a microwave, load it, stay near to keep an eye on it and wait for the timer to ping.

With minimal moving parts, broadly the same maintenance regime as a construction dump trailer and only a handful of low-cost open market plug-in sensors (designed to be easily replaced if damaged during use) the M-Kiln™ is the epitome of simplicity. There are no unique parts, complex hydraulics, augers or conveyors requiring regular maintenance, just simple off the shelf components widely used in other industrial processes to keep availability high and costs down.

The M-Kiln™ uses a rugged construction grade outer trailer to transport the high-tech patented stainless-steel alloy kiln and lid, with a layer of insulation to minimise heat transfer to the trailer for safety reasons.

The M-Kiln™ comes in various lengths from 16’ to 24’ and capacities from 9m³ to 27m³ to suit your specific application from ‘on the hill’ forestry to a major processing centre where daily throughput is critical.

All kilns feature the same triple technology:
1. An enclosed flame-cap kiln establishes gasification and clean combustion at the surface of the flame directly above the feedstock.
2. A secondary burn chamber above the flame cap captures and combusted (not pyrolyses) at high temperature, reducing smoke and particulates that may have got past the flame cap.
3. A network of exhaust holes in the lid to hold gases in the secondary combustion chamber to achieve near-zero visible emissions when the lids are closed.
The output of the M-Kiln™ has been repeatedly tested and been proven to deliver premium grade biochar with 1,000 year permanence and in compliance with all major registry requirements.
